Fabric Artist & Educator
Sewing/Quilting Instruction
Jennifer Rapacki has been sewing for over 30 years and worked as a Computer Engineer for 20 years. She left Corporate America in 1999 and started her own web site design business. Joining Husqvarna Viking in 2002 as a Freelance Educator allowed her to merge her computer and sewing skills. She was introduced to Unique Patterns during the
Scan + Sew = Success program offered by Husqvarna Viking dealers in the fall of 2002.
In 2004, Jennifer's love of garment sewing motivated her to become a Unique Patterns Certified Educator and Scan Tech. Check the Unique Patterns Web Site for a schedule of bodyskanner events. You just might find Jennifer at an event!
Jennifer started sewing as a child, being taught by both her grandmothers. Over the years she has continued her sewing education by taking classes on Couture techniques and fitting with Roberta Carr, Sewing techniques at the Otis School of Design in Los Angeles and quilting and textile classes at G-street Fabrics in Rockville, Maryland to name a few. She is now sharing with others the many techniques she has learned over the years through the classes she teaches.
Her sewing skills include dressmaking, tailoring, quilting, home decorating and upholstery. Jennifer's computer skills include both PC and Mac hardware and software. Garment Construction, Quilting and Software are the main areas of concentration for her classes.
